Charity Ball

On the 21st of December was held the annual charity ball of the school where the sum of money that were either donated or were from the purchase of the tickets for the ball are given to organisations to help people in danger or directly to the people endangered. As every year the 11th grades had to do all the organisation of the ball.
As a part of the Visual Art classes, I had to come with an idea that adds more spotlight to the ball's theme -The Oscars . My Art mentor and I came up with the idea to put a poster of the Oscars' image and then frame it. Moreover, I was kinda bossed around by my fellow class teacher because she wanted all the things to be done the way she thinks is right to be done. Which pissed me off real good. Not only almost all the IB class was helping but she was all bossy and at some point we all experienced the sentence 'It's going to be your fault if this ball is not perfect'.
I know for myself that in a way I'm a leader and I know how to ask kindly people to do something for me. My fellow class teacher though... no tactics, no tolerance, no nothing..which is quite sad because she has changed a lot since last year and not in a good way.
Furthermore  at the end I was helping with the script of the ball and I was a critic while the rehearsals  were going because who doesn't need a fresh opinion when the the cost of the success of the ball was the reputation of the 11th graders ? Because honestly here is the place where I can really express myself... charity and donation are good things don't get me wrong , they increase the reputation of the school's name..but over the years this annual ball has turned into some kind of competition to see who will organise the best one...So far I think we are the best
...
On the night of the ball //missed to say that there  was a very formal dress code with long dresses and suits//  I couldn't recognise my people cause they all looked as if cut from a model's magazine. The night went well..better than expected. Smoothly and what impressed me was the fact that even our smallest graders followed the dress code. Moreover everyone had fun because most of the times when on events like this one people don't know how to have fun. But as organizers, the whole 11th grade, we made sure to intergrate people and entertain them.
Well this is from me...Till next time
