Lessons from students for students

From the beginning of February till the middle of June some of us gave lessons to the lower grades. I gave lessons to a boy from 8th grade who was struggling with his English. We started working on his grammar skills, he had showed an improvement so I decided it would be a great idea to switch my work and focus on his vocabulary and speaking/writing skills.
Talking with the teacher , I was proud of my student because he was getting braver and braver and showed that he understood the things explained.
We had skipped a few classes because I had to study for my national exams, and got a notification that my student wasn't doing his homework and listening to the teacher. I got really upset because my work was taken for granted.
I decided to finish this project explaining to him that I was disappointed of him and that I won't be helping a person that doesn't appreciate  what I have done for him.
