CAS PROJECT -- Butterfly strawfeect

As of the beginning of our second year of the IB programme, we faced a new challenge, one of the few that are to come before the exams in May.

We have decided to create a more eco-friendly environment in school. We plan to recycle paper, plastic and metal and with the money that we hope to rise, to buy eatable straw for our students to use. An investigation was carried out and a presentation with shocking facts is about to be presented in front of the whole school to show them what not recycling causes to our planet and its inhabitants.

FIRST PROBLEM :

My class doesn't like team working, so a lot of problems have occurred and are about to.We have been divided into two sub-groups to work and then hell broke down...Comments  like 'Why are you in these group, why should I do the recycling and you the posters?! It is not fair I won't do it' or 'The teacher is mad if he/she thinks I will do what he/she advises'. I find these comments quite irritating and unpleasant first because this is our project we have decided to do it and everyone spoke their mind and secondly the teachers that are monitoring are giving advice because firstly they are our superiors and secondly they wish our best and are friendly with us.

FIST PROBLEM SOLVED:

Due to stress, and certain problems that have occurred in school, we bonded over the situations and started to gel.  We came up with ideas for the project's logo, website, how to spread the information for it, the presentation that is to be presented in from of the school, we came up with a catchy name.
