Open doors day

Annually American College Arcus has a open doors day where future students of the school are welcomed to come and see the base of the institution. As always every student of the school plays a certain role : some are guides, other work under projects in the biochemistry lab or try some physical experiments, retell the history in interesting ways such as small scenes or presentations. The musicians in the school give some tips how to play some of the instruments or how to hit some of the high tones. It is quite an interesting event for the newbies because in this way they can feel the friendly atmosphere of the school and to learn from a first-hand experience how the education goes. There is always a parents meeting that the director holds so he is able to really explain what is the privilege to study in this school.
Last year I was in the history room explaining the importance of some world-wide known monuments. This year, I was kind of turned into a art psychologist because I did an analysis of people's drawings, and there is a catch here - the 'test' which they had to take was to draw whatever they wanted in 8 squares which have a different meaning each with only 8 colours. I had to analyse the lines they draw, the forms they created, the colours they used. Some of them were quite complex if I have to be honest. But the pleasure of knowing that the things you have actually analysed, turn out to be true for the person is something that can't be really explained with words. The satisfaction I felt and the smiles the children and their parents had. Unforgettable.
Being an analyzer was one of the things I did, another thing that my regular hobby came into a practise - I took pictures of the things that were happening round the school.
Truth to be told... it was exhausting all the talking I had to do but it was worth it. I will do it again gladly.
